Takidar, Gol T, Panjedar and T-Shape: A Guide to Charsadda Chappal Styles

Zarshal Charsadda chappal styles: Takidar, Gol T, Panjedar, T-Shape and Vibram-style sole chappals

Charsadda chappals are not one design. The main styles are Takidar, Gol T, Panjedar and T-Shape. Each one has its own upper, its own look and its own best use. This guide explains the difference in plain words, so you can pick the right pair the first time.

Every style below is handmade in our workshop in Charsadda. You can see all of them together in our Charsadda chappal collection.

Takidar chappal

Takidar is a Charsadda style built with gear construction, which gives the upper a layered, structured and detailed look. A triple gear Takidar has a stronger and more detailed profile than a plain Peshawari chappal, while still keeping the authentic Charsadda look.

It works for both formal and everyday wear, and it is our biggest range. Popular finishes:

Choose Takidar if you want one pair for mosque visits, family gatherings, office use, Eid and weddings. See all Takidar chappals.

Gol T chappal

“Gol” means round. The Gol T has a rounded T design on the front of the upper, commonly associated with classic Peshawari footwear. Many of our Gol T pairs have a woven finish.

It works well with both light and dark traditional outfits. Colours include black, brown and burgundy, for example the Black Woven Gol T and the Burgundy Gol T. See all Gol T chappals.

Panjedar chappal

The Panjedar design is known for its structured upper, bold shape and strong Peshawari identity. It looks polished and is a popular choice for Eid and family functions.

We make two lines: the classic Panjedar and the Zalmi Panjedar, available in black, burgundy, white and yellow mate. The Burgundy Zalmi Panjedar adds warmth to the design, while Yellow Mate is a warm, light brown shade that suits summer and daytime. Both are made from genuine leather. See all Panjedar chappals.

T-Shape chappal

The T-Shape has the classic T construction that gives the recognised Peshawari chappal look. Our T-Shape pairs have a woven upper that adds texture and character.

The black colour keeps the design easy to style with both everyday and occasion wear. See the Black Woven T-Shape and Brown Woven T-Shape, or all T-Shape chappals.

Vibram-style sole chappal

This keeps the familiar open-front Peshawari upper but puts it on a soft rubber, grip-focused sole. The sole gives a stronger walking base, so it is more practical for men who wear chappals all day, not only on special days.

Available in black and yellow mate. See all sole options.

Which style should you buy?

  • One pair for everything: Takidar.
